B...

B is for...

If there are two things I can't do, that would be swimming and biking. Lately, I've been practicing on how to ride a bike and I'm proud to tell you that I'm making progress. Uh-huh. That's right. I'm bragging.

There are a lot of people like me, who doesn't know how to ride a bike. Why is that? Well as for me, the problem wasn't about keeping my balance. It's just that I was really afraid of falling and end up with scraped knees. But the moment I tried to pedal faster and as I stopped to look back on my progress, it gave me a sense of completion.

"Some things aren't as difficult as they seem. We just have to be brave enough and accept the fact that in some point in time, we'll get hurt-scrape our knees, knock our teeth out and get bruised-but at least we did not fail to try."

  1. Good for you for trying something new! My husband is an avid biker and I am getting a new bike in a few weeks. It's been awhile since I've biked, but I'm looking forward to it. Good luck!

  5. Biking is fun, but I am a bit clumsy too, so I end up with lots of scraped knees as well.

  6. Good for you for being brave! I have to say, I was also a late bloomer when it came to riding a bike, and swimming. I was actually afraid of the water from the time I was born, and eventually taught myself how to swim. I was also afraid to ride a bike, and eventually taught myself that as well. It just took awhile. :)
